4th place: Left-right difference (16.7%)

"I'm having trouble choosing a bra"

"When I look in the mirror I'm disappointed"

The majority of respondents, 60-70%, said that their breasts were smaller than before pregnancy , followed by sagging at 40-50%, weaning at 20-30%, and asymmetry between the left and right breasts at just under 20%. 5% also said they had nothing in particular. It turns out that most women who have breastfed have some sort of bust problem after weaning.

■There are two reasons why you may have this problem!

1. Choosing a bra while breastfeeding

② Choosing a bra after weaning

1. Choosing a bra while breastfeeding

Many people purchased nursing bra tops during their breastfeeding period. Moreover, the number one reason for purchasing them was "comfort."

However, the survey results revealed the following requests:

"I want a bra top that has good support and allows me to breastfeed comfortably."
"Camisole or tank tops that fit your body well and keep your breasts in shape."
"A bra top that is easy to breastfeed in and keeps the shape of your breasts"

As shown above, many people were dissatisfied with the lack of support provided by the bra tops they had purchased in pursuit of comfort.

■ During breastfeeding, your breasts are firm and you tend to forget that they can sag.

During breastfeeding, the breasts are firm and tend to sag, but even if they are firm, if the breasts are not properly supported, Cooper's ligaments can tear and cause sagging. Also, once torn, Cooper's ligaments do not return, so a "hold" that supports the breasts is a very important point in breast care.

There are also some interesting results regarding how to choose a bra after weaning.

What kind of bra did you use after you stopped breastfeeding?

1st place: Bra top 33.3%

2nd place: Non-wire 26.2%

3rd place: Wired bras 26.2%

moreover···

What kind of bra are you currently using?

1st place: Bra tops 34.2%

2nd place: Non-wired bra 21.1%

3rd place: Wired bras 34.2%

We can see that there is almost no change in the underwear worn now after weaning/stopping breastfeeding . Over 50% of mothers who have stopped breastfeeding/stopped breastfeeding are unable to go back to wearing wired bras .

"I can't go back to wired"

"I missed the chance to go back to underwired bras"

"My body has become such that I can only wear bra tops"

"I've been wearing bras for so long that I no longer know my bust size."

As such, even though many experienced mothers know that it would be better to use a bra with an underwire, they continue to use bra tops or non-wired bras because they are more comfortable.

In addition, 70% of mothers were unable to take care of their breasts. It seems that mothers are so focused on their children that they tend to put their own needs on the back burner.

■ Bra refugee

The survey results revealed that many women who have breastfed are in a state of "bra refugees" who are troubled by how to choose a bra after weaning . 83% of mothers are worried about their busts due to a lack of awareness and information about breasts during and after breastfeeding !
